I made some full-size drawings for the frames #1 – #6. In the process, I have increased the beam of the boat to 76″ (+10%). Later the frames will be spaced for a LOA of 15′ (+15%). Frame #1 will be replaced by a watertight bulkhead with a drain plug and an inspection port. The space fwd of this bulkhead will be filled with closed-cell foam. There has to be some more flotation in other parts of the boat, as required by the relevant regulations. The challenge will be to incorporate additional buoyancy without compromising the design and appearance of the boat.
